Another way to help secure your Trailer!

And it is very possible that you already have this lock for such by using the same one as your hitch currently uses. Now some who own Skiff and some Bay Boat trailers have them in a garage, so they are very secure. Myself and many more though, have them parked under the house or out in the open, and I was looking for another way to slow down those who (may) want to remove it so here is Another way to help secure your Trailer.

What I found out in the past, was my receiver hitch lock fit well right where the Fulton swing tongue pin would normally sit...

And our much newer (and cleaner) Ameratrail trailer for our Skiff also has a folding tongue, and love the space savings and extra security it provides by locking it open... However, the past lock was too short for this trailer, so I had to employ one that has a little longer shaft.

Which is the Master Lock Receiver Lock, Stainless Steel Barbell™ Receiver Lock, which Fits 5/8 in. Receivers. It is a Weather Resistant Automotive Receiver Lock and the model is 1469DAT, in Silver and Red.

Now, this is not the only component employed to help keep ours secure and stay under the house where it belongs. This is just an extra obstacle and should help slow (them) down at least long enough, to turn around and look down the barrel of whatever I grab first... 😉 And those motion lights also come in handy, since my eyes are not what they used to be even with the upgraded night sights. 😊

Hope helps keep your prized toy where you last left it!
