My honor to introduce you to a dear friend (at least 15 years now) who is just an excellent radio host and a great guide, Captain Mike Anderson!
As some know, I knew Captain Mel Berman. We went fishing together, and I even sat in on a few of Mel's Radio shows. When he passed away in 2010, the torch for his long-running radio show in Tampa Bay on 970 WFLA was rightfully and correctly handed over to Mike Anderson to Captain the ship, and he has done a fantastic job with it!
Big Mike, as many call him, is a Veteran (thank you for your Service, Buddy) and just a great guy! Love him like a Brother, and he is heavily involved in Fishing and Conservation efforts not only in the Tampa Bay area where he resides with his Bride Beth. But Statewide, his efforts are known and appreciated! And though I do not live in that area any longer... It is still home to me in many ways, and from time to time, I will still call his radio show and chat with my "Brother in Arms" when discussing fishing issues here in Florida.
So, if you live in or are planning a trip to the Tamp Bay area and are looking to go fishing, I just cannot recommend enough taking a Trip with "Big Mike" and letting him show you how to improve your Inshore or Nearshore game. As a matter of fact, he will even cheat and start fishing on the "Dark Side" using Live Bait (Natural Bait is the more PC term they now use ) to help put you on Fish! 😎

We are working on getting him into a Skiff as a backup weapon while we try to "Convert" him from his Heathen (using live bait) fishing ways. LOL! 😁
Don't feel bad, though; I have been picking on him about his "Cheating" and using Natural Bait (see, they even have me using that term now) since Moby Dick was a Guppy.
